uninvited guests plant portraits by Richard Nicholls photographer, artist and designer

Portraits of the flora found in my garden. These ‘uninvited’ plants — and some may see them as just weeds — were planted by a previous owner, or have seeded themselves with the help of the wind, birds and wildlife, or have found a way through the fence and migrated from next door.

This is the second series of images taken on the same theme, the first series was taken several years previously. This set of images were all taken in-situ with on-camera flash and a piece of black card providing the background. No plants were harmed in the making of this latest work.

Giclée photographic prints are available on archival art paper stock. Open edition.
